Who We Are

Cortnie Valle, LMFT, CCTP

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Owner

Our journey through life can be filled with a plethora of emotions and experiences ranging from ultimate joy to the depths of despair. How we handle and move through these phases is heavily influenced by the way we saw our parents and family members deal with it. Understanding the impact of the dynamics of our family of origin can bring about clarity and understanding of how we operate and our worldview. Ultimately, this does not have to define us in a negative way. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I will work with you to identify these influences and patterns affecting your current functioning and work alongside you to process.

I always work on myself so that I can continuously grow and also help others do the same in their own lives. I am passionate about healthy relationships and ultimately would love to see everyone happy in all of theirs. When you work with me, you will receive unconditional support, encouragement and someone who will give you the space to be heard.  I use a collaborative approach which means I get to know you, your individual needs and tailor my interventions to what would work best for you.  I utilize relational therapy models such as Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Bowen's Intergenerational Therapy and individual based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I am passionate about working with people who have experienced trauma, anxiety, relationship/marital issues, grief, depression, communication issues and more. My goal is to support you through whatever you need and provide you with some lifelong tools for self-improvement and continuous growth.

Marriage & Family Therapist (Limited Permit)

I love working with couples, families, and individuals who want to learn how to advocate for and express their needs, improve their relationships, reduce anxiety and stress, and maintain accountability. Additionally, I enjoy helping clients practice patience and self-kindness. Humans are complex, and we can't rush the process of discovering, uncovering, unlearning, and relearning.

My work is affirming and strength-based, combining theory and creativity to meet clients where they are. I like challenging my clients and giving them space to recognize their capabilities, even when it's hard.

I believe in wellness and the possibility of healing for all humans. Taking care of ourselves mentally and emotionally is vital, and I hope to support you in accessing your ability to care for and be your best self.

Marriage & Family Therapist (Limited Permit)

Our relationships and early life experiences shape how we connect, communicate, and see ourselves. At times, this can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Exploring these patterns can create space for clarity, healing, and more fulfilling relationships.

I’m Ebonie Lovell-Dancy, a Limited Permit Marriage and Family Therapist (LP-MFT) with training in sexology. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, everyday stressors, life transitions, dating challenges, and relationship concerns. I also specialize in sex therapy, supporting clients with intimacy, desire, and building stronger emotional and physical connection.

I offer a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. Drawing from psychodynamic and narrative therapy, along with other relational approaches, I tailor the work to your needs. My goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen communication, and feel more confident and connected in your relationships and within yourself.

Marriage & Family Therapist (Limited Permit)

I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families create meaningful change in their lives. I often remind people that we are all given 24 hours each day, and how we choose to spend that time can have a lasting impact on our well-being, our relationships (romantic and

platonic) and our communities. I believe that, at our core, we are all people helping people, regardless of where we may be on our journey.

I work collaboratively with clients to navigate relationship and communication challenges, emotional trauma, parenting concerns, depression, anxiety, life transitions, vocational and financial stressors, and family conflict. My experience spans work with individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, and underserved populations facing complex personal, relational, and systemic challenges. I have supported people navigating LGBTQIA+ identity and relationship concerns, immigration and acculturation stress, child and adolescent development, family and caregiver challenges, and the unique experiences associated with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through a multi- systems lens, I help people identify patterns, strengthen communication, build resilience, foster healthier relationships, and create meaningful, sustainable change by building upon their existing strengths and resources.

In addition to my training in marriage and family therapy, I hold specialized education in sexuality education for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I provide support around healthy relationships, sexual development, boundaries, consent, and sexual behavior concerns through a compassionate, educational, and nonjudgmental approach.

As a CASAC-T, I also have experience facilitating both individual and group counseling in inpatient substance use treatment settings, supporting individuals struggling with alcohol and drug use, recovery, relapse prevention, and co-occurring mental health concerns.

As both a therapist and a mother, I understand the joys, challenges, and complexities that come with raising children and balancing the many demands of family life. This perspective informs my work with parents and caregivers, helping me approach each family with empathy,

authenticity, and respect.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and affirming space where clients feel heard, empowered, and understood as they work toward meaningful and lasting change. Drawing from my experience in family systems therapy, sexuality education, developmental disabilities, child and family work, and substance use treatment, I strive to meet people where they are and help them build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
